Welcome to Sora Rider, operated by Sora Cabs Pvt Ltd. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Sora Rider website, mobile application, rider registration platform, electric vehicle rental services, and related services.
By accessing our website, registering as a rider, making a payment, or using a Sora vehicle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Sora Rider services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions and any applicable policies published on our website.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not register, make payments, or use our services.
2. Eligibility
To register and rent a Sora vehicle, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold a valid driving licence applicable to the vehicle you intend to operate.
- Provide accurate and valid identification and KYC information.
- Provide accurate personal and banking information when requested.
- Comply with all applicable traffic and transportation laws.
The website currently identifies PAN, Aadhaar and Driving Licence as part of the rider KYC process.
3. Rider Registration & KYC
Riders may be required to provide:
- Full name
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Aadhaar details
- PAN details
- Driving Licence
- Bank account details
- Profile photograph
- Other information reasonably required for verification
You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is accurate, complete and current.
Sora Rider may verify submitted information and may reject, suspend, or cancel an application where information is incomplete, inaccurate, fraudulent, or otherwise unacceptable.
4. Vehicle Rental
Sora Rider provides electric two-wheeler rental services to eligible riders.
The website currently advertises a Sora EV rental price starting from ₹250 per day, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The actual rental amount, plan, duration, deposit, and other applicable charges will be communicated to the rider before or during the applicable transaction.
5. Security Deposit
Where applicable, riders may be required to pay a security deposit.
The website currently specifies a refundable security deposit of ₹1,000–₹2,000, subject to the applicable terms.
Any applicable deductions may be made for amounts properly payable by the rider, including damage, loss, unpaid charges, or other obligations under the applicable rental agreement.
6. Charging
The rider is responsible for managing charging of the rented electric vehicle unless otherwise communicated by Sora Rider.
The current website specifically states that charging is to be managed by the rider.
7. Maintenance
Sora Rider currently states that standard vehicle maintenance is covered by Sora Cabs.
Riders must nevertheless use the vehicle responsibly and report faults, damage, or maintenance issues promptly.
8. Vehicle Use
The rider must:
- Operate the vehicle safely.
- Follow applicable traffic laws.
- Hold the required licence.
- Take reasonable care of the vehicle.
- Not use the vehicle for unlawful activities.
- Not intentionally damage, modify, or misuse the vehicle.
- Report accidents, theft, damage, or major mechanical issues promptly.
The rider remains responsible for damage or loss caused by their negligence, misuse, unauthorized use, or violation of applicable terms.
9. Insurance
The current website states that insurance is included with the rental offering.
Coverage, exclusions, claims procedures, and rider responsibilities are subject to the applicable insurance policy and terms. Insurance availability does not remove a rider’s responsibility to comply with traffic laws or rental obligations.
10. Token Recharge & Wallet
Where the platform uses token recharge or wallet functionality, recharge amounts are associated with the rider account and are not transferable between riders.
Wallet balances may be used only for platform-related transactions as communicated by Sora Rider.
11. Referral Programme
Where a referral programme is offered, rewards are subject to the applicable referral conditions.
Referral rewards may be credited only after the referred rider completes the required registration and verification process.
Sora Rider reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue referral benefits where permitted.
12. Payments
Riders are responsible for providing accurate payment information and completing applicable payments.
A transaction may be subject to additional terms provided by the relevant payment service provider.
13. Suspension or Termination
Sora Rider may suspend or terminate a rider account where there is:
- Fraudulent or false information.
- Invalid or fraudulent KYC documentation.
- Vehicle misuse.
- Non-payment.
- Unauthorized use.
- Violation of these Terms & Conditions.
- Misuse of the referral programme.
- Any activity that may cause risk to Sora Rider, other riders, vehicles, or third parties.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sora Rider shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the Services.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Changes to These Terms
Sora Rider may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Updated terms will be published on this page. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, to the extent permitted by law.
